Injection molding (MIM) components can achieve automated production. With the development of Industry 4.0, the application of automated production and intelligent manufacturing technology in the MIM field is becoming increasingly widespread. The automation production of MIM components is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Automation of mold processing: Numerical control machining (CNC) is the core process of MIM mold manufacturing, which can achieve high-precision processing of complex shapes through CNC machine tools. For complex shapes and deep cavity molds, electrical discharge machining (EDM) can also be used. In addition, surface treatment of molds is usually achieved through grinding and polishing, which can be completed through automated equipment and intelligent control systems, reducing manual intervention and improving production efficiency and product quality stability.
2. Injection molding automation: In MIM technology, the process of injecting a mixture of metal powder and binder into a mold is similar to plastic injection molding, and can utilize the automation technology of existing mature plastic injection molding machines. By equipping automatic loading and unloading systems, mold automatic replacement systems, etc., it is possible to achieve automated operation of the injection molding process, improve production efficiency and consistency.
3. Degreasing and sintering automation: The continuous degreasing sintering furnace is the core equipment in the MIM process, which can achieve continuous production of MIM products from blanks to finished products. It has the characteristic of high automation, which can fully automate the loading, pushing, and discharging of boats, reduce labor intensity, and minimize the impact of human factors, making it particularly suitable for large-scale production scenarios.
4. Quality inspection automation: In the production process of MIM components, online inspection equipment such as coordinate measuring instruments, surface roughness meters, optical microscopes, etc. can be introduced to monitor the processing quality of molds and product forming quality in real time during the production process, detect and correct production problems in a timely manner, and reduce scrap rates.
